Colors!

Here's a rough colorscript based on the key moments in Angie's storyboards.  I was trying to make it feel more like the jungle, let me know what you guys think and if you have any suggestions.

  1. Hey Cory, first off, I thought we were supposed to have key moments from the animation since the story board changes a lot. If you could take snapshots from the animation we've had and color it like group 2 did in the email Tom sent us last night, it would help.

As for the colors, I would play around with the color of the trees. They're kind of mashing into one object and from what i've seen in the line drawings you had earlier, you can make it more colorful and vibrant like how Nickelodeon does their backgrounds and just add that energy into it. Also keep in mind that when you play around with the colors, the shapes of the different trees will be more clear too.

Overall, I'd also have a watch how the colors transition into each other. Right now, the first image and the last image kinda jumped from one color palette into another so if you can smoothen that transition between the panels it would be great.

    Hope that helps!!!

  2. Agree with emily about the transition.

Emily, don't worry about the animation bg vs the color keys. These keys are for us viz devs to know what the lighting would look like and how we can color pick from them when we start rendering out our story moment or ur guys animation bg. Two totally different subject matter. We will get to ur guys animation. i'll start working on them tomorrow once i talk to jason or u about the layouts.

hope this clears up why we're doing the color keys.
